I just got back from my trip to Scotland and if you’re planning a trip soon and anything like me you’re probably planning to wear your cute polymer clay earrings!! I love wearing my polymer clay earrings especially when I’m meeting someone new. I’m a bit of an introvert, and these polymer clay earrings are the perfect way to connect and strike up a conversation, plus… they are so cute and perfect for Scottish culture!
Here are the earrings I would take with me on a trip to Scotland 👇
Plaid Polymer Clay Earrings
A HUGE part of the Scottish culture is their kilts! The kilts are often made with a plaid design. While I was in Scotland we visited a kilt maker shop, and the sheer amount of different plaids that are available IS AMAZING! Each one had their own unique names and purpose.
Also... one of my favorite things were the bagpipers in the street in their traditional outfits!
If you want to bring some of that Scottish plaid design to your outfit - without having to wear a kilt - these earrings are perfect! These earrings were created with a plaid polymer clay image transfer print.
**swoon** Can you imagine a fall Scottish visit to highlands with these earrings? Dreamy.. 🙂
Harry Potter Polymer Clay Earrings
I’ve been a huge Harry Potter fan since the second book came out… yes, the BOOK 😂(dating myself here), but a fun surprise while we were planning our trip to Scotland was finding out that Edinburgh, Scotland is one of the cities that had a lot of inspiration and was the place where J.K. Rowling wrote parts of the Harry Potter series.
Specifically Victoria Street providing inspiration for Diagon Alley, and many local Edinburgh cafes where she wrote the early chapters of the Harry Potter books, and the Harry Potter train that runs through the Scotland Highlands!
Highland Cow Polymer Clay Earrings
Actually, the Scottish people actually call them Highland Coos!! 😀It’s soooo much better than cows, in my opinion! A highlight of my trip on our way to visiting the Sterling Castle in the Socttish Highlands, was visiting the most beautiful highland cow, Honey 🧡
You get to feed this cow and it’s almost like he is posing so perfect, a very majestic beauty about it with the fields of lambs and rolling hills in the background.
If you share the same love for the beauty of these animals, then these earrings are almost too perfect for your trip to Scotland!
These highland cow polymer clay earrings were created after I practiced some clay sculpting. I was able to learn how to roll polymer clay and layer to mimic the extra hair that is iconic for a highland cow! The base of this earring is a cow polymer clay earring cutter, but with some sculpting skills, I was able to create my version of a simple highland cow!
Don’t Forget Your Polymer Clay Earrings On Your Next Trip To Scotland
Classic Polymer Clay earrings and even the Character Polymer Clay earrings are a MUST to bring on your next trip to Scotland. They can be a great way to represent the culture, represent your style, and even strike up a conversation if you’re an introvert like me! 🙂
You have to tell me where you are traveling to next, and which earrings I should add to this list!!
